Rátáil oscailteachta:

A side scan sonar is used when high resolution information on specific seabed features is required (e.g. habitat mapping or wreck investigations). The unit is towed behind the vessel in close proximity to the seabed and transmits high frequency sound pulses that map the seabed on either side. Collect high resolution information on seabed features such as shipwrecks and for habitat mapping. This is not a standard INFOMAR product.
